Nirvana - Live Olympia, WA '87

Nirvana's session at Evergreen State College, Olympia WA, on April 17th 1987, broadcast by KAOS-FM was also their first demo tape and as such, Nirvana's first ever recording session. The visceral power of one of the most iconic bands in rock and roll first emerged in Aberdeen WA in the mid-1980's. In amongst the now revered and widely recognized band scene in Seattle during this period, were Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselik and Aaron Burckhard jointly known as Skid Row. Close friends of the Melvins, they were about to embark on a journey that would take Cobain and Novoselik to world stardom two years later. For fans of early grunge and rare radio broadcasts, this session is a treasure. Uniquely mounted and curated with black painted finish frame to accentuate the album cover and smoky aqua vinyl, creating a gorgeous piece of history for any Nirvana fan.
